Today is the last day to to vote early before election day. All across Wisconsin, voters have turned out to get the election off to the right start by casting their ballots early. Here’s what a few of them had to say about why they’re supporting Barack Obama and why we need to get his back and vote.
I am voting for Barack Obama because I believe in the values that he stands for, and as a veteran, I’m proud that he kept his promise to end the war in Iraq.
It’s important to get out and vote – this is America, the land of the free and the home of the brave.
Four years isn’t enough to change all of the problems that our country faced in 2008 – the last thing we should do is turn back now and reset all the policies that are starting to work!
This is going to be one of the closest elections of our lifetimes, so people need to get out there and vote!

I pay for my college education myself, so the fact that the President fought to keep Pell Grant funding has really helped me. As a young woman, I’m not ok with Governor Romney wanting to limit a woman’s right to choose – I think we should have the choice to do what we want with our own bodies.
It’s especially important for young people to vote – we’re going to change this election and help Barack Obama win.
I’ve been supporting Barack Obama since he first announced his candidacy – he has kept his promises. I saw the tax cuts on my paycheck; my sister, a Navy veteran, has an additional year to finish college because of President Obama’s GI bill; my autistic nephew does not have any more lifetime caps on his health insurance. It’s not just about me – I’m voting for Barack Obama because of what he’s done for my family and my friends.
This is not the time for us to sit out. We see what happens when we don’t show up – the wrong person gets into office, so it’s important that everyone gets out there to vote.
