Imagine being kicked out of the country you call home.
For Ola, that's a very real possibility. Ola is smart—she graduated at the top of her high school class. She looks forward to being a doctor.
But she could be deported.
Her story is featured in "The Dream is Now," a documentary short about children of undocumented immigrants who were very young when their families came to this country and have spent their whole lives here, but who now face the threat of deportation.
Tonight at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Ola and several special guests will be joining OFA supporters for a free online screening of the "The Dream is Now," followed by an interactive panel.
You can RSVP now to watch tonight's screening of the full film.
Ola's story is a perfect example of why our immigration system is broken, and why millions are fighting to pass reform. America can't afford to just send away some of our best and brightest kids, who came here through no fault of their own, and have worked hard and tried to do everything right. That's not who we are.
We need young people like Ola here in America. They're talented and committed to serving their communities. Ola and several special guests will be joining us for an online chat tonight.
Watch Ola's story—then join us for tonight's screening.
