We have less than 72 hours for Washingtonians to return their ballots.
I know you’re busy, I know November is a time where families get together and fall descends upon us.
But now's your chance to be a part of history.
Barack Obama was the first sitting president to acknowledge the right of gays and lesbians to marry, and last week he showed that commitment by letting Washington voters know he stands behind Referendum 74. Barack Obama was the first president in nearly four decades to pass health reform; he’s let me stay on my parents plan until age 26, allowing me time to finish college and find a job before I need pay for my own insurance.
At every step of the road, at every moment of these past four years, Barack Obama has done the right thing, he’s done the responsible thing, he’s done the necessary thing for the American people.
He has my back just as he has all our backs, and so I ask you – nay, I implore you – to please help me in getting out the vote in Washington.
We can’t afford to wait.
