For Kara, President Obama's work to expand health care, protect the middle class, and stand up for women's health is not policy, it's personal. That's why she volunteers every day.
"I really want people to look at far how we’ve come. I'm the daughter of two people who were laid off in the recession, and my mom battled breast cancer twice during that time, so insurance was really a big thing for us... It's something I feel so passionate about."
Protecting funding for women's health continues to drive Kara.
"It's women's lives, and that's not something to toy with."
President Obama is fighting for women and the middle class. We are affected by his policies everyday. Kara isn't standing on the sidelines and neither should you! Volunteer today and help us get out the vote!
