See if you're eligible to vote this week

Last week, President Obama cast his ballot in person before Election Day. This week, you may be able to do the same right here in Virginia.

Through this Saturday, qualified voters in Virginia will be casting their in-person absentee ballots. And, in several counties across the Commonwealth—including Fairfax County, Loudoun County, Prince William County, Falls Church, Portsmouth, and Virginia Beach—in-person absentee voting hours have been extended at local registrars' offices.

Absentee voting is designed to help Virginians who may not be able to make it to the polls on Election Day. If you're a commuter or you work long hours, plan to be away from home on personal business, or will be away at school, you could be eligible to vote in person at a local registrar's office through November 3rd.

See if you're eligible to vote absentee and, if you are, find out where to go to cast your ballot this week.

If you have any questions before you vote or want to check for extended hours at your local registrar's office, you can also call our voter hotline at 855-868-3213 or 855-VOTE-213.
