Last Saturday, a new team of Obama volunteers worked to help re-elect President Obama at the fifth annual Strong Threads Festival held on the grounds of the historic Harriet Barber House in Hopkins, South Carolina. See the team in action in the pictures below as they collected “I’m in” pledge cards and talked with festival-goers about the President’s accomplishments on behalf of the African American community.
The Strong Threads Festival celebrates the heritage, history and culture of African Americans with music, dancing, storytelling, visual and creative arts, and drama.
This month – Black History Month – the Obama campaign launched its African Americans for Obama program. Learn more at http://www.barackobama.com/african-americans.
