Sarah, who will be a freshman at Columbia University in the fall, chose to get involved with Barack Obama’s campaign in New York because of what the President has done on health care.
“I don’t think it should be a privilege to go to the doctor,” she says, “everyone should have (health care).”
Sarah’s also intent on getting more young Americans involved in the campaign. A few weeks ago, Sarah helped organize a house party—and by the end of the night, everyone had signed up for upcoming events.
“I think it’s really cool to see how people get motivated after hearing what we have to say. That’s inspiring for me and makes me want to stay involved.”Students and young Americans: Find out more about what President Obama has done for you and get involved here.
