Last night, women across North Carolina got together in field offices and living rooms to discuss President Obama’s accomplishments for women and to reach out to other women in their communities to talk about what’s at stake in this election.
Angela Bassett, who fired up Women for Obama in Fayetteville over the weekend, knows the importance of women reaching out to other women, and she stressed the importance of women getting involved:
“All it takes to make a difference in this election is a simple willingness to step up and talk to other women about how President Obama is taking us forward. We simply can’t afford a Romney presidency that would move us down a backward path.”
Take a look at some photos and tweets from our Women for Obama phone banks, and then make sure to sign-up to volunteer in your community so you don’t miss the next one.
