President Obama has said it many times before—our seniors deserve the very best. After a lifetime of hard work in our communities, President Obama is committed to making sure our seniors have a secure future and healthy retirement.
Under the Romney-Ryan plan, Medicare as we know it would be turned into a voucher program. Under this plan, the 1.5 million North Carolina seniors who rely on Medicare would end up paying an extra $6,350 in health care costs—all in order to fund tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires.
The Romney-Ryan plan would effect people like Rosetta, a West Charlotte native who has been volunteering and working hard for President Obama since 2008. Under their plan, Rosetta, a retired health care professional on Medicare, would face a new economic burden.
Thanks to President Obama and Obamacare, Rosetta is able to feel secure in her economic future. Rosetta is one of the over 130,000 North Carolina seniors who, thanks to Obamacare, are able to save an average of over $600 to-date on prescription drugs. She is also one of the 981,000 Medicare recipients in North Carolina who has received free recommended preventative services in the last year.
President Obama continues to fight for seniors like Rosetta—which is why she is fighting to reelect him:
“As someone who worked health care, I am able to see the benefits of President Obama’s health care policies—and they are great. I’m on Medicare and my care keeps getting better. That’s one of the reasons why we need to get President Obama four more years.”
Stand with President Obama—share the facts on Medicare.
