Obamacare is helping Minnesotans across the state.
I am one of the many Americans who feels more secure knowing that--thanks to President Obama--my child cannot be denied coverage simply because he was born extremely premature. It’s also great to know that insurance companies can no longer deny payment were he to reach an arbitrary cap. His hospitalization alone cost around $325 thousand dollars, and it’s good to know that he, and 2 million Minnesotans like him, no longer have to worry about hitting their lifetime limits.
If you have a child with a pre-existing condition, it used to be difficult to get insurance. Because of Obamacare, in Minnesota alone, 298,000 children under the age of 19 can no longer be denied coverage because of a pre-existing condition. This is an amazing thing: no longer having to worry that your family’s future will be mired in endless fights with insurance companies over the health and welfare of your children, or that you might face bankruptcy due to unpaid medical bills.
Also, in Minnesota, 32,000 young adults under the age of 26 are now covered under their parents’ health insurance. This is a great relief to these young adults, who now have more choices when they go out to look for a job. It’s also a great relief to parents, who can continue to provide health care safety and security to their grown children. All thanks to Obamacare.
President Obama does care. That’s why it’s important to vote for four more years, so that he can preserve the gains we have already achieved through the Affordable Care Act as well as make sure that the law is fully implemented, benefiting millions of Americans. Volunteer today.
