The Minnesota Made Energy Tour kicked off this week, highlighting President Obama’s all-of-the-above plan to achieve American energy independence.

On Monday, Congresswoman Betty McCollum and Mayor Chris Coleman spoke outside of the District Energy facility, overlooking the Mississippi River bluffs in St. Paul.

President Obama’s investments in energy will save American businesses billions in energy costs, improve their bottom lines, and strengthen the competitiveness of U.S. manufacturing.

Rochester MN Energy

The “Minnesota Made” Energy Tour travelled south to Rochester on Wednesday, visiting the local International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers 343, a workforce training facility that has certified hundreds of Minnesotans for careers in the wind and solar energy industries.

Investments made by the Obama administration support more than 600 clean energy projects across the state. Minnesota State Representative Tina Liebling toured the facility and met with future employees of Minnesota’s burgeoning clean energy sector.

Here in Minnesota, we’re seeing the local impact of the President’s investments in clean energy…President Obama’s energy policies have been very helpful to us in southern Minnesotans in the creation of jobs.
