I’m IN because I’m one of the thousands of young adults in Pennsylvania who have benefited from the Affordable Care Act. As a 24 year old recent college graduate, I remember all too well the anticipation of graduation. What should have been a joyous occasion, was filled with fear and “what ifs.” I knew that graduating also meant losing my health insurance.
Because of health reform, I was able to stay on my parents insurance until I found a suitable job with benefits. With the amount of student loans that most college students accumulate, the last thing we want to worry about is if we are going to have health insurance when we graduate.
I’m IN because I want to protect the progress we have made and continue to move this country forward. I am committed to organizing for President Obama in 2012 to make sure that other young adults continue to have the same opportunities that I did.
In Butler, we are already holding team meetings to strategize how we will organize in our community. We know the real work must begin today. Butler is ready to WIN in 2012. Are you?
