“In a lot of ways, my address on Tuesday will be a bookend to what I said in Kansas last month about the central mission we have as a country, and my central focus as President. And that's rebuilding an economy where hard work pays off and responsibility is rewarded -- and an America where everybody gets a fair shot, everyone does their fair share, and everybody plays by the same set of rules.”
Tonight, President Obama will lay forth the blueprint for our future across the country and right here in Michigan in his third State of the Union address before Congress.
Maybe you’ve been organizing with us since 2008, or you’re still looking for that “way in.” From the shores of Western Michigan to Detroit, volunteers will be hosting watch parties in community centers, restaurants or their very own homes. Not only will these parties be an opportunity to watch the State of the Union, but they will also be an opportunity for open discussion with fellow supporters and getting information on future organizing events.
It’s not too late to RSVP. Find a watch party near you, and we’re excited to see you tonight.
