Yesterday during his speech to the Democratic National Convention, Barack Obama gave a Minnesota business a nice shout out:
The family business in Warroad, Minnesota that didn't lay off a single one of their four thousand employees during this recession, even when their competitors shut down dozens of plants, even when it meant the owners gave up some perks and pay – because they understood their biggest asset was the community and the workers who helped build that business – they give me hope.
We loved that President Obama profiled a Minnesota company as an example of a business that leads as an ethical, community focused organization.
Come November 6, let's make sure Minnesota continues as a national model for voter engagement. Make sure you're registered to vote and then make sure your friends are too.
