President Obama: Immigration is next

For weeks, OFA supporters have been calling on Congress to end the shutdown and get back to work on real issues, like immigration reform—and President Obama agrees. Now that the shutdown is over, it's time for the real work to begin.

In an interview with Univision, the President named immigration as his next priority: "Once that's done ... the day after, I'm going to be pushing to say, call a vote on immigration reform."

Today, the President doubled down, saying, "We should finish the job of fixing our broken immigration system."

It's been more than 100 days since the Senate passed a bipartisan immigration reform bill, and notable lawmakers, including Representative Paul Ryan, have promised a vote in the House of Representatives. The President will keep pushing the House to act, and OFA volunteers will be right there with him.

Join the President in this historic movement, and commit to finishing the fight for immigration reform.
