“We opened 30 offices across Iowa on Sunday. It’s very exciting for the campaign because several of them are in rural areas like Cresco and Algona that have never had a presidential campaign office before. We have a lot of volunteer support on the ground, and now they have a place to go to make phone calls, pick up canvass packets, and get out there and knock on doors.
“A lot of our team leaders have been volunteering for Barack Obama for years, and they used to have to drive 30 minutes to get to an office. Now we’re able to open offices just down the road from where they live, so they’re incredibly excited. They don’t have to work out of the local coffee shop or fast food joint anymore.
“Iowa is very much a field state, and it will be won on the ground. Now’s the time to sign people up to vote early. We’ll be some of the first people in the country to cast their ballots for the President when early vote opens on September 27th.”
