Hawaii's chance for equality

The Hawaii state legislature is considering a bill to give same-sex couples equal protection under the state's marriage laws. It's an exciting time in Hawaii, and OFA supporters are part of the movement to bring the freedom to marry to their state.

Last week, volunteers gathered to speak to their communities about marriage equality at a phonebanking Day of Action.

Marge Wenkoff, a volunteer from Kihei, explained why she was phonebanking for marriage: "I've always believed in equal civil rights for everybody and especially marriage equality. My son is gay and my brother is gay, and I believe they should have equal rights like all other citizens."

You can be a part of this—show your support for the freedom to marry in the Aloha State.
