Campaign role: Fall fellow at North Carolina State University (NCSU)
Hometown: Washington, D.C.
Organizing in: Raleigh, North Carolina
Q1. What do you do for the campaign?
I am in charge of the Wolfpack for Obama organization on NCSU's campus. We register students to vote, spread awareness about the upcoming 2012 campaign, and work to add more volunteers to our campus group.
Q2. How did you first come to the campaign?
I first became involved with the campaign at a College Democrats meeting when the local field organizer, Rob Abraham, attended a meeting and asked for help with the campaign on campus.
Q3. What’s your favorite part of your role?
My favorite part of my role is that I get to be really involved in the campus and I also get to play a part in the downtown office. I love interacting with all the new people I meet and my role has been very rewarding so far because I feel like I can personally make a difference in our government.
Q4. What’s the most unexpected part of your role?
The most unexpected part of my role is the leadership aspect. I thought that I would be more working on the sidelines and following orders, but have a lot of responsibility in organizing events and leading the NCSU group. The experience has been great so far.
Q5. Tell us a fun fact about yourself:
I am a classically trained ballerina and hope to one day continue my dance career after school.
