Congressman Pete King is beginning to understand the cost of inaction

Congressman Pete King is going to ask Speaker Boehner to bring up immigration reform for a vote this year. He said so—to my face—in a room full of 150 of his constituents.

We've been organizing on this issue for a while, and it's paying off.

This is the power of organizing. In just a few years, King has gone from being one of the most vocal opponents of immigration reform to publicly announcing his support.

We’ve got a long way to go, and ultimately the decision to bring this issue up for a vote lies with Speaker Boehner. But now we have one more advocate for reform in Washington. Thanks to OFA volunteers participating in phone banks, petition drives, and constituent meetings members of Congress like Pete King are feeling the cost of inaction on immigration.

We can't let up until we see real, tangible action in the House. Say you'll keep up the pressure on immigration reform.

Keep up the pressure
