Being the daughter and granddaughter of veterans, Sherrie from Chattanooga understands the importance of putting our veterans back to work.
As a daughter of a 20 year Army veteran and granddaughter of a Korean War veteran it is my honor to say “thank you for your service” to every man and woman who has worn those uniforms. However, as the old saying goes “actions speak louder than words”. Today as you say thank you with words place a plan into action of joining me in saying thank you to President Obama for putting people ahead of politics and pushing for the Returning Heroes and Wounded Warrior Tax Credits—both of which are part of the American Jobs Act and help put veterans back to work. Veterans like my father and grandfather shouldn’t have to fight for a job when they return home. This is why I’m thanking President Obama and calling on Congress to finish passing other provisions of the American Jobs Act.
The Senate voted yesterday to support tax incentives for businesses that hire unemployed veterans—but there's still more work to be done. Stand with supporters like Sherrie by letting us know why you can't wait for Congress to keep making progress on jobs and the economy.
