More than 20 people gathered to discuss the accomplishments of environmental issues over the past 3 years. The incredible advance in CAFÉ standards for vehicles and local energy efficiency block grants were two of the big successes that were discussed. Howard residents discussed how these advances have impacted their businesses, and how they are continually hiring new people to keep up with the demand for alternative energy.
Everyone left the meeting energized to spread the word about the successes through conversations and additional house gatherings. They made plans to reach out to their friends and neighbors, and to plan other opportunities for people get involved with the campaign.
