On Monday, our Phoenix Headquarters hosted a Latinos for Obama phone bank and DNC Vice Chair Linda Chavez-Thompson was on hand to pump up our volunteers, share her personal story, and convey the importance of the work being done across the state. Arizona House Rep. Catherine Miranda was also with us to introduce Linda and tell our volunteers how she appreciated their hard work.
Susie, one of our Organizing Fellows, had this to say: "It was a real privilege to get to hear Linda Chavez Thompson, a Latina woman who has been in the fight for over 40 years. One thing she said that resonated with me was that the real work in organizing happens here -- that is, real people in our community, on the ground, talking to neighbors about the importance of voting and what this election means for Latinos. It left me feeling there is much more work to be done, and that we have the special opportunity in this election to make a resounding impact in Arizona, for Latinos -- and for the President."
Latinos for Obama is going strong in Arizona, so join us for our next Latinos for Obama event and experience the passion firsthand!
