In 2008, young people made history by organizing for, and electing Barack Obama President. In the past 3 years, we have seen many benefits that would not have been realized without their efforts. To protect our progress and continue having a President who is such a strong advocate for this generation, we must do it again in 2012.
Last Monday, OFA State Director Ned Horsted spoke with the USD College Democrats to talk about President Obama’s strong record for young Americans. We talked about the need to keep organizing for the next 12 months, and what the campaign should look like on campus. From student loan reform to increasing funding for schools, students have a lot to be thankful for. The President has our back and in 2012, we will have his. We will be tabling on campus in the next few weeks--sign up to join us, or apply to be a campus leader with the campaign today!
