The news is clear -- and growing each day -- that the Recovery Act is working to cushion the greatest economic crisis since the Great Depression. We've gone from losing nearly 800,000 jobs a month under the Bush Administration to gaining jobs five months in a row. An economy that was in free fall is now on the road to recovery. According to the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office, the Recovery Act could ultimately be responsible for creating as many as 3.7 million jobs by the end of September. [1]
