This Saturday we are hitting the streets for a summer canvass and voter registration drive, spreading the word about President Obama and other Democrats' accomplishments — and making sure as many people as possible in Pennsylvania will be ready to cast a ballot in November.
A lot of volunteers' first events involve knocking on doors and registering voters, so don't worry if you're not sure what to do — we'll train you and make sure you're not alone out there.
I think what you'll find is that people are eager to listen and make sure they can vote in November. Usually they just need a little nudge to get them going. As long as you keep a smile on your face, you're going to get a good response.
And at the end of the day, after a lot of great conversations and with a stack of registration forms ready to turn in, you'll know you've really made a difference.
