Accomplishment No. 13: $80 billion in loans to small businesses
When the President took office, small business lending had plummeted and the number of loans had dropped by nearly half in just the last quarter of 2008. But President Obama was committed to helping jumpstart business growth and get American companies hiring again. And since January 2009 the Small Business Administration has supported nearly $80 billion in loans to more than 150,000 small businesses to start the country down the road to recovery.
Combine this with the 18 times President Obama has overseen tax cuts for small businesses and you quickly see how deep President Obama's commitment to Main Street is.
