Last week, Seattle Latinos for Obama kicked off efforts to energize and recruit Latino volunteers with a celebration at Casa Latina.

Washington State Senator Margarita Prentice spoke about President Obama’s accomplishments in moving the country forward for Latino families. “Latino voters are more important than ever in Washington,” she said, “And we have to work together to tell the story in our community of President Obama’s accomplishments.”
State Representative Luis Moscoso also spoke, describing the clear contrast between Obama’s plan to move the country forward, and Mitt Romney’s plan to take us backwards. He stressed the importance of grassroots organizing and urged attendees to volunteer, saying, “It’s going to take all of us working together to make sure we reelect President Obama and other great Democrats down the ticket.”
