• Story #42: “Romney owes Granite Staters an explanation,” Debby Butler, Concord, NH Accountant

    Debby Butler

We get to hear over and over again all the things that Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan think are wrong with America. But what they never tell us is what their actual plans are. Does anyone really know? Not outside the Romney-inner circle. And there's a reason why. If Romney-Ryan were honest about what they were selling, they know the American people would never buy.

That's what Debby Butler told us. She's an accountant from Concord whose taken a look at the Ryan budget and has been close paying attention to all the promises Romney and Ryan have been making on the trail. She understands what's needed to keep our country moving forward. Hint: it’s not Mitt.

    Debby explains:

“As an accountant, here’s what I know about Mitt Romney. He supports an unfair tax system that lets the wealthiest take advantage of special breaks and loopholes to pay a lower tax rate than many middle-class families.“

“He would raise taxes on at least 50,000 hardworking Granite State families, while giving millionaires like himself a budget-busting 25 percent tax cut – which would require either exploding the deficit or raising middle-class taxes even more.“

“He owes Granite Staters an explanation of how he plans to grow our economy and reduce our debt while his economic scheme blows a hole in the deficit with tax cuts for the wealthy, while gutting investments that would strengthen the middle class.”

Unlike Mitt Romney, Barack Obama isn't hiding his plans from the American people. His policies focus on strengthening the middle class and have already created 4.5 million private sector jobs and cut taxes for small businesses 18 times.

When you commit to vote for the President, you're committing to vote for an economy built to last, one in which everyone has a fair shot. That's what this election is about. It's a stark choice, and an important one, so commit to vote right now.
