• Spreading the word about better coverage and lower costs

Obamacare is working, even when Congress isn't.

Last Thursday OFA volunteers held a nationwide day of action to get out the facts on Obamacare and call on Tea Party Republicans in Congress to end the government shutdown and stop sabotaging the economy.

Plantation, Florida—More than 30 supporters joined cancer survivor Leslie Sheffield, who had been previously unable to acquire health insurance due to a preexisting condition but will now be able to get affordable coverage thanks to Obamacare.

Nashville, Tennessee—“We are here today to say the Affordable Care Act is here, and finally millions of Americans can get access to affordable health insurance and better coverage," said Jerry Maynard, Metro Council member, senior pastor of a local church and a native of Nashville.

Arlington, Virginia—Eight volunteers braved the rain and cold in Arlington, passing out flyers and talking to passersby about the benefits of Obamacare.

Lawrenceville, Georgia—OFA-GA Chapter Leader Pat Lowery spoke to dozens of people gathered at the Gwinnett County Courthouse.
