• David Grace: A (Former) Republican for Obama

Ten years ago, David Grace was a proud Republican. David, a former Marine, had casted his vote for George W. Bush in the 2000 election.

Now, David is a Neighborhood Team Leader in Wilmington and will again be voting for Barack Obama.

Why the switch? Because Barack Obama is the candidate who shares his ideals:

“We have a President today who does believe what I believe in and is looking out for me and my family. President Obama has been a strong and responsible leader in complicated times. He is successfully confronting our enemies and strengthening our alliances while remaining true to the values that make our nation great.

I am proud to have someone in office who is thorough in his decision-making and understands the gravity of his choices, especially when it comes to our veterans and military families. President Obama ended the war in Iraq and is winding down our efforts in Afghanistan. He understands what that means, especially to our men and women who have served and are still serving.”

The choice between President Obama and Mitt Romney couldn’t be clearer for David:

“Mitt Romney has shown that he is just not ready to be Commander-in-Chief. He simply doesn’t take caring for those that serve our country seriously. He’s proposed trillions of dollars in increased military spending over the next decade, yet at the same time his budget plan could slash veterans’ benefits by nearly 20 percent. When it comes to honoring our veterans, leading our troops, and weighing foreign policy decisions, Mitt Romney is hopelessly out of touch with reality.”

David knows that, as a veteran, President Obama has his back—which is why he has committed to vote for him. Join him and commit to vote for President Obama today.
