• Opening Doors in Hopkins

I'm one happy campaign staffer. That's because we had over 250 people come to our brand new west metro field office for our grand opening last night and most of them signed up to volunteer, some the very next morning! To put those numbers in perspective, Brandon T., one of our Neighborhood Team Leaders tweeted from the event: “It's standing room only at the Hopkins @OFA_MN office opening! So exciting!”

I couldn’t agree more! By the time DFL Chair Ken Martin and Mayor RT Rybak took the stage, the crowd was spilling out of the front door onto Mainstreet in Hopkins. I had hoped we would have a full house but I never dreamed that we would have an overflow crowd. The energy in and outside the office was incredible. You could see it in our supporters' faces and hear it in their cheers as they listened to Mayor Rybak talk about all the progress that this administration has made. The people of the West Metro are ready to re-elect President Obama!

If you didn’t make it out last night, stop by soon. We’re looking forward to working with you (1007 Mainstreet, Hopkins, 55343). This office will be a hub of activity in the coming weeks and months as we do the hard work necessary to re-elect the President and other Democrats up and down the ticket.
