Volunteering as an organizing fellow on the campaign can open up doors that you didn't even know existed. That's what happened for Andrew, a former fellow and current Obama Victory Fund Trustee.
"I just knew that I wanted to be involved in the campaign," he explains. After walking into the downtown field office a little over a year ago, he ended up serving first as a neighborhood team leader then as an organizing fellow.
Shortly thereafter, he connected with the finance director of Gen44, the campaign's fundraising program for young adults and asked how he could get more involved. Now an active fundraiser, Andrew says that what he does now is "just like field work" in the sense that it's all about creating connections with people. He's thankful for the path that brought his to where he is.
"My involvement with the campaign has been a fantastic opportunity to prove myself. You really get to see the results of your work here."
