OFA volunteers train community members on how to spread the word about Obamacare.

Organizing for Action held a nationwide training day to prepare community members to discuss health care with their loved ones over the holidays. Volunteer hosts organized educational sessions and shared tools and resources to talk about how the Affordable Care Act is working for millions of Americans.

Los Altos, California—Volunteers broke off into small groups to plan future events and share ideas about how to continue the conversation in their community.

McHenry, Illinois—OFA Alumni Trainer Allie Ebner led a training on the enrollment process and why we need to #GetTalking this holiday season.

Fort Wayne, Indiana—New volunteer Barb is dedicated to having the health care conversation with her family this year, saying she'll be discussing enrollment over turkey. And for Christmas, she's gifting her grandchildren their first month's insurance premium. "It's important!" she says. "I can pay their first premium but I can't pay their medical bills if the unexpected happens."

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania—Pittsburgh Chapter Lead, after the training, urges moms to have "the conversation" with their families this fall.
