• The fight for comprehensive immigration reform marches on

    Supporters rally to keep pressure on Congress in nationwide Day of Action.

    OFA supporters are continuing to organize on the ground and online to pressure the House of Representatives to hold a vote on comprehensive immigration reform. With each day that Speaker John Boehner refuses to allow a vote on reform, the pressure mounts—a fact that supporters made clear in events across the country last week.

    Aurora, Colorado
    —Former Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar was among the speakers outside Aurora City Hall. "Today I am sending a letter to Rep. Mike Coffman demanding that he take the lead on comprehensive immigration reform in the U.S House of Representatives," he said. Jesus Altamirano from the National Council of La Raza and Dreamer Erin Vargas also addressed the crowd.

    Racine, Wisconsin—OFA volunteers gathered in front of Representative Paul Ryan's office in Racine to call on the congressman to keep his word and pass immigration reform.

    Tucson, Arizona—OFA-AZ gathered to watch a screening of The Dream Is Now. Then volunteers got down to action, rotating through stations that included having their photo taken to show support for reform, signing a banner, and sending a message on Twitter or Facebook. They also made calls to Speaker John Boehner and their members of Congress, and wrote personalized post cards to members of Congress.

    Dallas, Texas—Volunteers held an 11-hour phone-a-thon to fight for the 11 million undocumented immigrants in America right now.
