Yesterday, President Obama announced two new initiatives to help veterans find work, especially those with a medical background. They will:

    1. Help community health centers hire 8,000 veterans over the next three years—for jobs as physician assistants, administrators, outreach workers, and more—giving them a chance to continue serving in their communities.

    2. Give funding to universities and colleges to train veterans to become physician assistants—helping medics find work in their field, and meeting local health care needs.

It's on all of us to keep the pressure on Congress to pass the President's jobs plan. But President Obama will keep taking steps right now to get veterans—and all Americans—back to work, and help middle-class families get back on their feet.

Say you’ll stand with the President to support our veterans and help spread the word about these new initiatives today.
