I was standing in line to meet President Obama after he spoke in the pouring rain in Glen Allen, Virginia. He was totally drenched from the downpour, but he just gave this amazing speech before a packed crowd. Everyone stayed and he just kept speaking. We kept chanting, "Fired up...Ready to go!" and "Four more years!"

When I got the chance to shake his hand, I turned to him and said, "I have a question for you, President Obama: If you could have dinner with anyone dead or alive who would it be?"

I was expecting him to say George Washington or Abraham Lincoln.

President Obama turned to me and said, "My Mom. I haven't had a chance to see her in a long time." (President Obama's mother Ann Dunham died 16 years ago.)

The first call I made after I talked to President Obama was to my mom, whose mother had also passed away. My experience with President Obama meant so much to her. She got choked up and said, "I KNEW he was a good person! I'm so happy you're working for him!"
