In 2012, women still only earn 77 cents for every dollar a man makes for doing the same work. Those lost earnings make a real difference over the course of a lifetime. That’s why the first bill President Obama signed in law was the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, which gives women the tools to fight for equal pay for equal work. He also established the Equal Pay Task Force and supports the Paycheck Fairness Act.

Mitt Romney won’t give a clear answer on where he stands when it comes to equal pay. Paul Ryan voted against the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act. Both have shown that they won’t stand up for a woman’s right to equal pay for equal work.

When it comes to our economic security, the choice for women couldn't be clearer.
