On Friday, Republicans in Congress decided to play politics with our future, proposing to eliminate the Prevention and Public Health Fund, that will help keep millions of Americans healthy, in order to extend the current rate on student loans. If the fund was eliminated, hundreds of thousands of people—particularly women and children—could lose access to the preventive care they need.

President Obama agrees that Congress must prevent student loan rates from doubling for 7.4 million students on July 1, but they shouldn’t play politics to do it.

Read the White House’s statement and then add your name in support of President Obama’s effort to find a bipartisan solution to get this done.
