Making phone calls is one of the most important things a volunteer can do.

So how do you maximize your time and make as many quality calls as possible?

Here’s a little time-saving trick I learned from our field director, Alison Zelman: While the phone is ringing, you can use those few seconds to go ahead and dial the next number on your list—just be careful not to hit “send”!

That way, your next call is already teed up and ready to go. And once you’ve mastered the double-dial, you’ll be flying through that call sheet in no time.
