As volunteer teams across the country get ready for another voter registration weekend of action, here’s a useful tip:

When setting up a voter registration canvass, try high-traffic areas where you know there will be lots of supporters who may need to register, or re-register. Nothing inspires people like members of their own community.

Neighborhood parks, sports gatherings like soccer or softball games, and busy parking lots are often good options. You can also try local farmers markets and community fairs. Just approach people with a friendly smile, and be prepared to talk about the importance of participating in this election—and as always, make sure to follow all local voter registration rules.

Get started—find a voter registration event in your neighborhood this weekend.
