Hannah S. of Missoula participates in a training session for Summer Organizing Fellows

Last week, Obama for America - Montana kicked off its Summer Organizing Fellowship program. The Summer Organizing Fellowship is a twelve week program during which participants will learn the necessary skills to organize a grassroots movement that empowers people to make change in their communities. Some of these skills include voter engagement through canvasses, phone banks, and one-on-ones, as well as learning how to use many of the technology-based tools that make modern organizing possible. From Twitter to Facebook, as well as in-house technologies such as Dashboard and the call tool, Summer Fellows will have the opportunity to learn how to organize on the cutting edge, while learning skills and making change that will last a lifetime.
