    Martin L.
    Hometown: Green Bank, West Virginia
Pets: I have four cats, a dog, and two horses.
Favorite vacation spot: Are hammocks a spot?
Turf: St. Louis Region Team: Central West End

    Q. Share a little about yourself:
I'm a 19-year-old Junior at Washington University in St. Louis. At Wash U I study Architecture and Political Science, and write for the Washington University Political Review. I also play a whole bundle of instruments when I get a chance.

    Q. What has been the highlight of your experience as a fellow so far?
The positive reactions I get when people hear that I'm working on the campaign this summer. There's a ton of support for the President here in St. Louis, and when I wear a button and register voters out in public I usually have at least five or six people come up to me and thank me for the work I'm doing.

    Q. What message would you like to send to Missourians about the upcoming election?
I'd like to let people know that Missouri absolutely DOES matter in 2012 and that the outcome of this campaign matters for each and every Missourian. This is going to be an election where every voice and every vote counts.

    Q. What is your favorite thing to do when you aren't organizing for the President?
I play flute, jazz trumpet and traditional Appalachian fiddle music. I'm actually leaving the campaign for a week this summer to attend a traditional music festival with my dad. We've been going since I was in middle school, and it's one of the few family traditions I've been able to hold on to since I moved away for college.

    Q. How do you feel about the Supreme Court upholding the Affordable Care Act?
I'm incredibly thrilled that the Supreme Court upheld the Affordable Care Act. My sister is about to finish college, and without this act she'd be dropped from my family's insurance. It's good to have that kind of safety net in place for her while she's starting out on her own.

    Malcolm and Martin
Martin shares an organizing highlight during a recent event.

Every day Martin, along with other OFA-Missouri fellows and volunteers, is registering voters and building support for the President. He is working hard to make sure that on Election Day President Obama’s supporters are informed about the importance of their vote, and are prepared to cast their vote. Join Martin and help organize within your community to keep Missouri and the nation moving Forward.
