    “The country would have really been in bad shape.”

    “Mr. Romney is dead wrong on this issue.”

    “The restaurants, the small independent businesspeople … This economy would have been devastated.”

    That’s just some of what folks on the streets of Detroit had to say about Mitt Romney’s argument in 2008 to “let Detroit go bankrupt”—a statement he still stands by today.
