“I love my grandma. For 15 years, I've watched my grandmother fight Alzheimer's. I've watched her go from the classiest woman I know to a shell of her original self. President Obama has given federal funding to stem cell research, which I believe has the potential for curing diseases such as Alzheimer's. I don't want anyone to have to endure what my grandmother has.

“I love my dad. My dad served in the Air Force for 20 years, and is now a veteran. President Obama has fought for expanded veterans' benefits, understanding that we must honor those who serve. Thanks to President Obama, I know my dad is going to be taken care of.

“I love what I do. As a mechanical engineering student at UNM, I work hard. I rely largely on student loans, grants, and scholarships to study and live while in school. President Obama made sure that student loan rates didn't double this summer, so that people like me will not be saddled with out-of-control debt when we graduate.

“President Barack Obama has done a lot for people like me, and done a lot for America. Why not do something for him?"
