On Saturday, Indy Pride held its annual Parade and Festival celebrating the LGBT community in Indianapolis. Volunteers from the campaign marched in the parade, pitched in at our booth, and registered new voters throughout the day.

Cheryl L. volunteered at the Indy PRIDE Parade and Festival for the third year in a row, but said this year was even more special because of the President’s recent announcement supporting same-sex marriage.

The festivities kicked off with the Pride Parade. Volunteers marched alongside Congressman André Carson while holding LGBT for Obama placards, waving to the crowd, and receiving cheers around every corner. The day continued with the Pride Festival at the OFA booth. Thanks to our record volunteer turnout, we registered over 350 people to vote, signed up over 200 volunteers and had over 1,200 people sign “I’m In” cards to pledge their support to the President. Thank you to all of our organizers, volunteers, and supporters for showing your Obama Pride!.
