Alan is a health care administrator for labor unions in Pennsylvania who can’t let President Obama lose this election.
"My five, 10, or 15 dollars is my personal way of helping out. I want to be able to say long after this is done that I did whatever I could to make sure that Barack Obama won. Given what the Republicans are raising, I suddenly realized that if we don’t all pitch in, President Obama won’t get re-elected."
"I work with organized labor trying to help people hold on to their jobs and their medical insurance. I’m so worried about what Mitt Romney would do to labor unions. We’ve seen Republicans consistently looking to strangle the voice of organized labor, most recently in Wisconsin.
"By contrast, President Obama is trying to help people who are struggling. Given his background, he knows what it’s like to get up every day and work for what you have. He knows what it’s like to fear losing it all. He knows that people need a little help, not a handout, and that government has a role in helping people lift themselves up and succeed. The President has made immense progress in making people feel like there is someone out there who cares for them. He has fought for jobs, education, and middle class tax cuts. If we don’t support him now, all of that will be for naught."
Alan is one of 2.4 million people who have done what they could to support our President—will you?
