If the conversation at the dinner table turns to politics over the holidays, don’t just quickly change the subject. As you head home this weekend, think about how you’ll steer the discussion to the progress we’ve made over the past three years—from health care to ending the war in Iraq—and why the people you’re passing the mashed potatoes to should support President Obama in 2012.

Check out the video above for some pointers from campaign staff and volunteers who’ve convinced friends and family—some against all odds—to support the campaign. At our Home for the Holidays page, you can find information about the President’s record on all kinds of issues and strategies for starting up the discussion.

So don’t be afraid to jump into the fray—even your most stubborn relatives might just surprise you.
