Following President Obama’s speech in Osawatomie, Kansas, this week’s Friday Facts takes a by-the-numbers look at how we’ve reached a “make or break” moment for the middle class—and why the President is fighting to make sure every American has a fair shot:

    • 6: Percent decrease in the average American’s income in the last decade

    • 18: Percent increase in the income of the top 1 percent over the last decade

    • $1,500: Tax cut for the average family if Congress steps up and asks millionaires and billionaires to pay their fair share by passing the President’s payroll tax cut extension

    • 160,000,000: Americans who would benefit

Download the full fact sheet here, and spread the word about why we can’t wait for Congress to take action on jobs and the economy.
