Wilda, OFA Florida volunteer, women, Lilly Ledbetter

Wilda is committed to doing all she can to ensure that her daughter and granddaughter have the brightest future possible.

Her support stems from a memory of what working for women's rights in the 1970s was like, and a strong appreciation of how far we've come.

People don't realize what it used to be like for women.

In the 1970s, high school boys were getting paid more than me. I was told it was because they would eventually have a family to support, even though I had six kids at home already.

Thanks to President Obama the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act was signed, women's health care is protected, and women can be assured that we have a President who knows empowering women to reach their full potential is crucial to our country's future.

Everything Wilda stood up for, and the advances we've made since President Obama took office is at stake in November.

If protecting our progress is important to you, then don't wait—sign up to volunteer in your community today.
