• Another Victory for the Environment

    The Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Transportation announced a joint proposal yesterday to nearly double the fuel efficiency of vehicles produced in the U.S.—from 35.5 miles per gallon by 2016 to 54.5 miles per gallon by 2025. The new standards will help reduce emissions, free us from our dependence on foreign oil, and save us money at the pump.

    The proposal maps how the two agencies will partner to implement President Obama’s fuel efficiency goals for the 2017-2025 fleet of new vehicles. Take a look at our infographic to see the difference this plan will make:
